Guardianship

I want to take a moment to share my journey in the dog breeding industry and explain how you can contribute to the future I envision.

My story

During my time in this industry, I have encountered both wonderful people who genuinely care for dogs and those who neglect their well-being. It is disheartening to witness, but as long as they abide by the current legislation, little can be done. This is why I strongly believe that the legislation governing dog breeding in Queensland needs to change. Traditional puppy farms should be outlawed, and I am committed to making a difference.

My story.

After two years in the industry, breeding the finest designer dogs, I realized that as my business grew, it became increasingly challenging to provide individual attention and affection to each dog. Even with additional help, I felt they were missing out on the love and care they deserved. I couldn't give them the fulfilling lives they deserved if they were kept together in kennels. My passion for animals, particularly dogs, drove me to find a better way for them to thrive.

This is where you come in as a "Guardian." By becoming a forever home for one of our dogs, you provide them with the love, life, and care they truly deserve. As a Guardian, you receive a puppy for your family, while I cover most related expenses. Ultimately, you ensure a dog has a happy and loving home. Additionally, you become part of our close-knit community, where we support each other and prioritize the quality of life for our furry family members. I understand the challenges life can bring, and I am here to assist you in any way possible.

My focus now lies in finding the right people who will make a significant difference in the lives of these dogs. I ensure they receive the best veterinary care, proper nutrition, are cleared before each pregnancy, and make an effort to visit them regularly. By doing so, these dogs can remain in their forever homes forever.

Rather than finding homes for my breeding moms when they retire, I am flipping the process. I match approved "Guardians" (forever home families) with our future breeding dogs while they are cute and cuddly puppies. This way, they have one home and one family for their entire lives. The only time your furbaby will be away from you is the last week of pregnancy and until the puppies are weaned, which typically lasts around 6 weeks. This process repeats only 2 to 4 times before the mom is retired.

Happy Homes = Happy Dogs.

It's important to note that we are a registered member of the RPBA (Responsible Pet Breeders Association) and consistently strive to exceed all the standards set by the association (member number 8806). F1 Designer Dogs is a family-owned and operated business. My late father, Ken, encouraged me to follow my passion and pursue something I loved instead of settling for something I was merely good at. Dogs have always been my greatest passion, just as horses were for my father. He found immense joy in his final years by doing what he loved, and he urged me to do the same without delay. Breeding animals, especially dogs, while genuinely caring for their well-being, can make it more challenging to achieve financial success. In such cases, prioritizing the animals' welfare and happiness is paramount, as it demonstrates our humanity and compassion.
